Tips and Ground Rules For Sellers and Buyers
Tips For Sellers
* Be Descriptive
Describing your item fully and accurately will give you the best chance
of selling it. Add a photo. The first one is free. A sound file or video is always helpful.
* Consider an Auction
Fixed Price Buy Out posts are always welcome. However, an auction is
more likely to attract buyers quicker.
* Please list mulitple items separately if they are not identical. For example,
T-Shirts may be listed in one listing as a Dutch Auction. However, different
shakuhachi flutes must be listed individually in separate auctions. The
exception would be a mass produced, identical instrument at the same price.
For Sellers and Buyers
And finally, please keep all communication and business within The
Shakuhachi Marketplace by using the "Ask Seller a Question" feature.
External links are not permitted. This includes email addresses and
any websites.
All revenue from the Shakuhachi Marketplace helps offset a portion of
the cost and labor of running the Shakuhachi Forum. Thanks for your
support!

Shakuhachi Marketplace Administration
Welcome to the Shakuhachi Marketplace. THE place to buy and sell shakuhachi by auction or fixed price. New to this site? The first step is to register. It's always free. Once registered you are able to buy and sell items.
The Shakuhachi Marketplace is an offshoot of the World Shakuhachi Forum but is available to anyone interested in buying or selling shakuhachi and other items.
Basics
• Basic listings are free. There are small fees only for features that give your listings more prominence. Sellers will be billed 5% of the selling price only for items that sell. Wanted ads and swaps are free.
• Stores are also free for the first month and $10 a month thereafter. Store owners will be billed 5% of the selling price only for items that sell. Stores are ideal for sellers with many items to sell. To set up a store a member must first be registered. Once signed in, scroll down the members area menu to "My Store" and click on "Subscription Setup." Follow the directions and you'll be ready to start listing your items.
What to sell?
The Shakuhachi Marketplace is obviously a shakuhachi niche site. However, there are also selling categories for recordings, accessories, books, as well as other instruments. In addition there is an "Everything Else" category for non-shakuhachi related items or anything you think shakuhachi people might be interested in! There are no charges for buyers.
